Grand Champagne
Finland's celebration of Champagne
Grand Champagne is Finland's annual festival of Champagne — a gathering that brings the great houses and the small, storied growers of the Champagne region directly to Finnish tasters.
It's a moment when producers travel north, pour their best cuvées, and share what the chalk, the vintage, and a lifetime in the cellar have made possible. The festival has grown into one of the most respected Champagne events outside France itself.
This feature gathers four of the houses you'll taste at this year's festival: a historic grande marque of Aÿ, the Épernay house that counted Winston Churchill as its most famous devotee, a Reims house that has been refusing malolactic fermentation since 1760, and a Finnish-exclusive collaboration with a Champillon family growing vines on both sides of the Marne.
